Sorry this letter is a day late, but it was a Holiday yesterday, so we could not email. This week has been really good. We have had so many things to do. We had a zone training meeting to get together and then stake correlation the next day. It was busy but it was fun at the same time. We are so blessed to be here at this time. The stake presidents are trying with all their might to help the work move forward in the area in which they serve. We were able to make a game plan of how to help each ward get more involved in missionary work. We have been seeing some missionaries in the area stepping up and really seeing some amazing things. They are finding so many people to teach. They are really working on helping everyone they can receive the restored gospel. They have been excising faith and they are receiving answers. Its awesome. I am always glad to see when missionaries succeed.
We have been working with a mom and daughter. The mom is a member and the daughter is not a member yet. The mom was baptized a while ago and was less active most of her life. We have been trying to help her quite smoking. She has come such a long way from where she was before. She has been receiving so many amazing answers. She started reading the book of Mormon with us and has had a very strong desire to understand so that when she reads with her daughter, she will be able to help her understand. What I love about my mission is seeing the change that the gospel brings to everyone who tries it. I know that it works. She is a perfect example. She told us one that 10 years ago when she would see missionaries come up to her house she would blare motley crew and wear a crewed t-shirt. Now she has change. She loved coming to church and living the gospel. She has found happiness by living the gospel because when we feel the spirit, we are more happy.
We had another good lesson last night with our investigator who is on date for baptism. She had even more good news. Her mother in law called the church over a month in advanced and scheduled the building. She is so excited to get baptized and is receiving more and more answers that the Book of Mormon is true. She just finished the 8th chapter of 1st Nephi and said that it was amazing and unbelievable. She has grown in the faith and does all that we ask. She has been prepared its awesome.
We have been working with a man who has recently lost his job and is going through a bit of a struggle. We only have lessons on the doorstep thus far, but we ask him to do things, he does. We have seen him over weeks grow in happiness. He seems more at ease and as long as he keeps doing what he is doing, he will find the things that he has been searching for. He has been asking a lot of questions about His path in life and how he can find it. We have taught him a lot about prayer and how to recognize answers to prayers. He has started to see them. Its slow moving, but it is real true progression. That is all that really matters.
Looks like you have had a fun time this week. Grandpas picture made me laugh so hard. It fits him really well. Swimming, I cant believe it. No swimming up here I can tell you that. So to answer you question. Do a 2 semester lease. Request room 109. I think that is what we are all doing right now and I think everything will pan out that way. I know Jake is already in the room and I think that is where he is going to stay. So I hope I can get in as well.
One last thing. Family, Keep the faith. It might be hard for you right now with the move coming up and what not. Just remember that Nephi and his family had to move to a far away land as well. They left everything. So surly you all can make it their no problem. Don’t worry about me out here in the best place ever. I am doing just fine. The move is not on my mind at all. I pray every day to keep my mind on the work because this is what is most important right now. Everything else will take care of the rest
